Dean Knuth, Co-founder and Managing Partner
Mr. Knuth is Co-Founder, President and CEO of Jasper Clinical Research & Development, Inc. (JCRD), a phase I clinical pharmacology unit specializing in exploratory clinical R&D. He has knowledge of analytical chemistry, pharmacokinetics/dynamics, biomarkers and pharmacogenetics and underlying technologies, particularly as applied in the clinical setting. As the director of a global group responsible for outsourcing, Mr. Knuth developed and guided strategic approaches to effective business relationships in a variety of settings with annual operating budgets exceeding $7 million, and strategic partnerships exceeding $2 million annually. These functions and projects effectively supported the clinical pharmacology portions of clinical project decisions and global product registrations. Since co-founding JCRD he has successfully led its transformation to an effective CRO that has met its annual revenue needs and client diversification goals.

David Zimmermann, Co-founder and Managing Partner

Mr. Zimmermann has worked in the life science industry for over a quarter century. Following a 23 year career at The Upjohn Company, Pharmacia and Upjohn, and Pharmacia he co-founded AzoRx, Inc. where he has served as Chief Executive Officer. Under his leadership, AzoRx has maintained a steady and rapid growth in a challenging economic environment. Revenue growth for AzoRx has far outpaced expectations with the successful partnering of AzoRx with companies both in the US and in Europe. AzoRx provides early drug discovery lead optimization services to pharmaceutical and biotechnology partners. While at Pharmacia, Zimmermann was responsible for negotiations and management of outsourcing contracts, managing an operating and capital budget of $16.4 million annually as well as maintaining leadership roles on therapeutic program teams in both the infectious disease and CNS areas.
